Kim Broedelet and Jen at Chaos Lounge got together for this gorgeous kit "Angel Tears", inspired by a famous South African wine. It's just lovely ladies. Wonderful work from two of my favorite designers!! You can snag it at Kim's store at DSO or Jen's store at Enchanted Studio's Scraps.

I really enjoyed playing with the kit. Here's a couple of the layouts I made with it. This first one is of a dear friend "Scooter's" wedding. The kit is PERFECT for vintage wedding pages.

All that visit here and take the time to leave a little love, you are ALWAYS appreciated. Anonymous, I will keep your tips in mind when I make the full kit as this was a freebie mini that has less items, a teaser of sorts. Actually, you did leave me with some really good ideas for the finished kit, thank you :)

Jen at Chaos Lounge has a very cool and unique kit new kit, "Peggy's Magical Rainforest". I absolutely LOVE it!! It was so much fun to play with. I knew exactly what I wanted to make and what picture to use as soon as I seen the unicorn and purple papers!! Ok...I have to show off my new little "Duddly". He came to us a country pup, having happily spent his days chasing hens and baby ducks. But sadly, he's frazzled the hens so badly they've quit laying. So, little Duddly is now our city pup of leisure. Look's like he's adapted ;)I finally got to play with Kim's new kit "Moody Days". A fun fun kit. I started playing with it and for some reason I started thinking of paintings and I got all "retro" LOL!! Must be the cool grungy elements and papers :-) Here's what I ended up with. Here's a little peak at everything else in "Moody Days" to play with. I love the ripped paper leaves and the "grungy earthy feel" of the whole kit.

Here are a couple awesome Easter Kits I've been lucky enough to play with. The first is "Joanne's Eggs" by Beth Long. Joanne is her mother and this kit is in honor of her beautiful Pysanky art. I had titled this one "Beautiful Day" but I sent it to Kim without a title and she renamed it for me "Stroll in the Park". I like her's much much better ;) That is perfect for this picture Kim!!

I've been playing around with Enchanted Studios February Challenges. I made my "Little Charmer" for the Fairytale Storybook Challenge. I used the papers from Jen and Bonnie's "Chic Shac". There are AWESOME papers in this kit!!

Angel Rays for Grannies Roses

I just wanted to share these awesome pictures taken on our morning walks. My grandmother use to call these sunbeams that reach down for us our "angel rays". I love to see them, reminds me of her :)She always had the prettiest pink roses in her garden, other colors too but the pink were her favorite :) Jen at Chaos Lounge and her sister Bonnie Van Esch have a beautiful new kit out "Chic Shack", on sale right now 25% off. The pink roses were perfect to play with today while I was thinking of her. I love the papers and elements. Lovely kit!!

And the little boy laughed

Hi, thanks to everyone for your well wishes for my son. He is doing much much better. Ended up with a shot, poor little guy!! He was NOT impressed.

There's so much going on this week. First off, don't forget Kim Broedelet is DSO's designer of the month and it's not to late to snag all her dollar goodies she's marked down for the occasion or her freebie kit, Fresh Posie she made for us. I love the summery colors she used. AWESOME Kim!!! These are my mom's favorite colors, she says they make her happy so I knew I had to scrap a page with her at her happiest, while dancing!! Mom and I do love to dance and twirl ;)

Little Things

I love how my little guy walks in the door after school every day and hollars "I'm hoooooome". Makes my day!! I didn't realize how much I wait for that one moment of the day until it was gone. Friday, he come home with sad tired eyes. Instead of his usual "I'm hooooome" he just gave me a little smile and went to bed. Every night at supper while I'm cooking, he's right there with his fingers in the pots, "Mmmm, your a GENeeUS Mom!!!!", I missed that!! Reminded me, in the grand scheme of things, not to take the little things for granted that make our days so special. Happy to report, all better and back up and runnin ;)

Son't let that smile fool you, this one was a STINKER when he was a little boy, still is ;) That smile saved that kids butt more than one time LOL!!!

I am VERY happy to announce that Jen at Chaos Lounge is back in business. I have missed her. She is going to start selling in her new store, Enchanted Studios Scraps. The stores Grand Opening is just a few short days away, January 15th. I am soooo excited. I can't wait to see all the new things Jen has created for us.

The forum and gallery are already up and running so I joined both this week. It looks like this is going to be a fun fun place to hang out, full of Pixies and Fairy Dust LOL!!!! I jumped right in and decided to do a few of their challenges. This first layout I did was for their "Elf Excerpts" Challenge. I used Jen's and Bonnie Van Esch's kit "Fall Leaves Fall".
For the second Challenge I did, "Color Sorcery" (I love all the cute names they've given every thing...WAY COOL LOL!!, I used Enchanted Studio's Blog Train Freebie "Warmth of Friends" which you can snag from all the different Designer's Blogs. You can start here at Enchanted Studio's Blog to pick up the first part and hop on the "Blog Train" to snag all the rest. This is a group of very talented ladies so the kit is just awesome!! I love all the sparkly goodies.

Time Anewed and Renewed

I thought I'd take a break from all the cooking I've been doing to get on here a minute and share a few goodies with you all. I have my FOURTH batch of Tamales in two weeks steaming on the stove and another batch of pies in the oven so I've been living in the kitchen recently. That's ok, it's one of my favorite places to be :-)

I'm am running out of time though so I wanted get on here in time to give you all a peek at this cool cool New Years kit "Time Anew" out by Kim Broedelet. 35% off. OMG Ya'll!! I just HAVE to show you this picture of my "LITTLE GUY". I have a feeling he's about outgrown that nickname LOL!!! He is only 6 and is as tall as Santa!!!! He's like two to three heads taller than all the kids in his class. He looks so funny in his little kindergarten desk. The pee wee football coach has had his eye on him since he was two, asks me every time I see him "is he old enough yet???" LOLOL!!

Well, my house is smelling wonderful right now. The spices of the tamales are wafting in here YUM!!! Smells like it's time for tamales, my special "Guaca Mauca" sauce and a Frozen Margarita. A Christmas Parade and Lotsa Goodies

Hello Every One!!! Did ya'll miss me LOL!!!! Just kidding, but really, it seems like FOREVER since I've been able to blog a little and play a little. I usually start runnin the week before Thanksgiving and don't stop til Christmas afternoon!!! Then I crash ROTF!!!

Speaking of crash ya'll. I dropped the Turkey!!! Yes I did. It just slid down the bottom of the roaster, hit the edge, and swooosh, popped right outta that pot!! I was sooo scared to look down, I just KNEW it was smashed all to smithereens. But luckily, it wasn't done yet and held together. I just grabbed him up before any one noticed,washed him off and put him right back in that pot. Naturally, I did not tell ANYONE about our little escape from pot and the one son who did see has had his mothers "secrets of the kitchen" curse put upon his head should he ever tell!!!!

Actually, after all the turkey drama, the day ended very nicely. We went to the square to watch the lighting of the Courthouse and and then the lighted Christmas Parade. It's always sooo fun and funny. As the sun goes down, you hear the loud "POP" as they switch millions of little twinkle lights on. Then everybody "oooohs" and "aaaaahs" It's the same thing every year but I LOVE it LOL!!!
Here are some pictures of the floats. They were sooo pretty this year :-) And the weather was PERFECT!! A little breezy and a little cool. We had a great time!!!!
Well ya'll, sad news, bummer. Jen at Chaos Lounge is taking a break from creating for awhile. But with a little sad news, there's a little silver lining!! She'll still be around at her blog and plans to create again in the future YAY!!!!! I panicked there for a minute LOL!!! I'd miss chattin and playing with Jen and my Chaos Lounge goodies something AWFUL if they were gone forever!!!! In the mean time, she has put her entire store on sale 50% off until December 12 when she leaves for vacation.

CHRISTMAS is Here Early on My Little Blog YAY!!!!

Well ya'll, it looks like Christmas is here before the turkeys even out of the oven LOL!!! Ever since my little guy had this photo taken he's been asking me every five minutes, is it Christmas yet, is it Christmas yet, is it time to put up the tree Momma, can we put up the tree PUUULLLLEAAASSSE?? OMG!!!! I'm about to pull my hair out. I finally told him tonight, when Momma cooks the turkey, our tummies are full and we clean up the kitchen, THEN we put up the tree. He's the PERFECT age for that last magical Christmas. By next year, I'm sure he'll have been educated about the validity of Santa LOL. Can't you just SEE the excitement in his little eyes and smile ROTF!! I loove it when they're this age.

This is going to be an odd post for me, a quick one LOL. Usually I spend about an hour jabber jawing and playing around in here, but I gotta get my tail end in bed pretty quick. It's waaaaaay past my bedtime. But, I just had to get on and tell ya'll about Jen at Chaos Lounge's AWESOME new kit "Whimsical Winter" and YAY!! On sale 45% off until next Sunday. I looove it!!! Here's a page I've made using it.I looove looove love all the sparkly goodies, especially the overlays. I think I snuck in as many as I could on my page LOL. Jen has many different colors though, not just the the blue so here's a little peek at what's inside. I just found out she drew the snowmen herself ya'll. How cool is that!!!
After I made the first layout, I decided to play with it a bit more and made it into a QP. You can snag it at the end of this post. Here's my handsome boy and his sweetie at the prom, a "Winter Wonderland" theme I might add so it was PERFECT for this kit. I have sooo many pictures from prom. After Wendy sees hers, I already know, those teens are going to keep me busy for weeks ROTF!!!! The girls loooove these little "goodies" I make for them.
My daughter and I were "cloud" watching today and we seen this little guy sneeking by so she grabbed the camera and took a pic. Can you see him? I'm not gonna tell you where he is, you'll just have to go "cloud watching" with us LOL!!! I can't believe she caught him. He was rolling along pretty fast even though he's looking kinda lazy here ROTF!!!

Ooohh, look at this awesome awesome kit from Jen at Chaos Lounge, Danielle Corbitt, and Wendy Page, "Comfy Cozy". The elements are awesome and there are so many lovely lovely papers. Man oh man, I just loooove Jen's vintage frame. I made a freebie QP for ya'll using it further down. This kit was so much fun and easy to play with. This is the first page I did with it. My mom, Aunt, AND Uncles birthdays are all this month. I've had so many birthdays these past couple of weeks, I'm gonna need a month to recouperate LOL!!! I wanted to give them each something special, so I made a couple pages using these old photos I found. This one is all the siblings and a neighbor child, whom they still can't figure out who he is LOL!!!

This is my grandparents on their honeymoon. The photo was in pretty bad shape but I still wanted to use it so I played around with a few filters to make it a little better. I don't think it turned out too bad and now we have a restored (kinda LOL) photo.

Ok Ya'll, I have a VERY VERY SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!!! It's Kim Broedelets Birthday YAAAAAY!!!! MWUAH MWUAH MWUAH!!!!! For those who don't know her, Kim is a beautiful and special lady. She's one of the kindest people I've had the privilage to meet in this scrapbooking world. I knew NOTHING about blogging when I made my first layout and got up the nerve to start a blog and post it. I was sooo proud when Kim stopped by to say Hello that next morning. I will never ever forget that and how special and proud she made me feel that day and each time there after she visited. Another proud day was when not much later, she shared her newest kit at the time "Softly Sweet" with me, my first RAK before I even knew what a RAK was ROTF!! Kim, you have found a place in my heart forever and ever. Big smooch and hugs to you!!! I hope you have a WONDERFUL day!!!! Be sure to listen to "Kind and Generous" on my playlist. I've been digging through old photos again today. I found this cute one of my neice from Spring when the wildflowers were blooming here in Texas. We do have BEAUTIFUL wildflowers. I used Kim Broedelets newest kit "Loryn" from her Friend Series. Man Oh Man I looove that beautiful gem rain I used on the frame. She's got three different colors. They are sooo pretty!!!!

I can't believe I've not made any Halloween goodies yet. I don't know why. Halloween is one of my family's favorite holidays. We LOOOVE dressing up and scaring all the neighborhood kiddies LOL!!! The kids usually hang so much webbing on the front porch you can't even see the house!! Then one of the boys will take turns sitting on the swing with a dish of candy in some scary costume just waiting to make the older kids pee their britches ROTF (I make them tone it down for the wee ones, we wouldn't want to scar the poor kids for life!!!) Well, I may of not made any goodies yet but look at these cool Halloween Pattern Overlays Kim had made for us. You can grab them HERE from her shop over at DSO.

OMG ya'll!! I am STILL laughing. I just seen a "talk to your kids about drugs" commercial on the telly. This mom's talking about how to talk to you kids with no distractions. She heads into the bathroom where her teenage son's taking a shower, opens the curtain and asks "do you know what weed is?". He hollars "MOOOOOM". He pulls the curtain shut and she waits a second, opens it again and asks "do you know what weed does to you?". "MOOOOOOOOM"!!! Too funny. I just had another "sex" talk with my recent graduate that same way ROTF!! Hey, in my defense, he did listen, was embarrassed (more about having to talk about sex with his mom than the fact I invaded the toilet LOL), but he did listen. That's ok, they're gonna talk to me one way or another and if the only time I can pin them down is in the shower, than so be it so "NEENER NEENER NEENER"!!!

Because, tonight, I am tagging people LOL!!!! Andrea at The Dickensons tagged me awhile back and I am waaaaaaaay behind getting this out. I looove visiting her blog!! She has the sound track to "Mamma Mia" playing on her blog. OMG!! I loooooved that movie. My daughter and I had a blast at the theater. We didn't go see the sing-a-long version but that didn't stop us !!! We were singing along acting so goofy I'm surprised they didn't kick us out ROTF!! I'm like REALLY LATE getting this out so please please forgive me Andrea!! I've had to do some blog-hopping first so I could pass it on .
So, seven random facts about myself huh. Since I've such a big mouth, this ought to be easy enough LOL!!

1. I'm known as the "pie lady" in my hometown because of my pies. Everyone want's to know my "secret ingredient". I tell them it's because they're made with love :-).

2. I'm ADDICTED to "Mamma Mia". I could watch it over and over!! It was such a fun movie.

3. I play fiddle and live in Texas but I HATE playing country music. If I have to play "Cotton Eyed Joe" or "Orange Blossom Special" one more time, I'm gonna strangle someone with my bow!!

4. My favorite music to play on said fiddle is Celtic Rock and Irish Folk.

5. I believe in Karma, you get what you give.

6. I went to Catholic School and my favorite nun, Sister Frances, caught me crying in the hall one day in the first grade. She told me that when I cry it rains but I when I smile, the sun shines. I've always remembered that to this day, that's why I have "Smiles" in my sidebar.

7. Last fact, I have HORRIBLE taste in men, love the bad boys. What can I say :-) I went to Catholic School ROTF!!!

I was just browsing around K-Joi Studios shop and man-oh-man ya'll!! You just won't believe all the wonderful wonderful freebies and WONDERFUL WONDERFUL new kits they have!! You have GOT to go check it out!! All the kits from the designers contest are still up and free for the snaggin'. I personally played with many of them and they were just lovely!!!!!

The contestants who took part in the designer contest got together and decided to hold a Blog Hop. Each contestant made a cool freebie for ya'll (available on their blogs), a way of saying "Thank You" for all the support they recieved these past few weeks. Well ya'll, I HAD to play with my daughters pretty little pose picture one more time. I just love how she's posing for the camera. She was such a ham for the camera when she was little LOL!! Now she runs to grab something to hide her face any time I point one at her ROTF!!! Being a mother of 4, I can definately understand and respect the quote :-) I used mITSYBELLE's (one of K-Joi's newest designers) kit "Spring Meadows". It's an awesome kit and so easy to play with!! I absolutely LOOOVE the sticker flowers and the papers are just lovely!!!! This is another layout I made using mITSYBELLE'S "Spring Meadows" If ya'll can't tell by all the violin music I have playing here, I play violin myself and this is one of my all time favorite "Musical Quotes". Suits me too a tee LOL!!! This one and "Music washes away from the soul the dust of every day life". I'll have to do a layout with that one day as it IS my motto!!!!!
This is a photomanipulation I did with that very quote. Maybe I'll share more with ya'll over time if you'd like to see them. I made HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of them ROTF!! Tons with violinists as those are my absolute favorites!!!!
These are two more of my favorites. This one had animated waves and the bottom animated mist but I can't get gifs to work even though it says they will, go figure. I just love this saying as well. A few "smile" wrinkles dont hurt now do they :-) I figure we're gonna get them anyway, we may as well have fun putting them there ROTF!!!!
Well, we FINALLY got some rain here and Texas. Thanks to all who wished it my way LOL!! We needed it sooo desperately. AND HOT D#@%, it wasn't attached to a hurricane this time!!! We have just been POUNDED this year!!! And more yays my way, it has FINALLY cooled off here as well. I got to do a little baking. You DONT want to turn on the oven here in Texas when it's 105 outside UGH!!! So, to celebrate the cooler weather and winter coming up, I made ya'll a few Winter Sparkle Swirls to use in your layouts. I made a few layouts this week to share with you. I played with Kim Broedelets "Softly Sweet" and "I Believe for Girls" kits again. I just loooove these kits. They have by far got to be two of my favorite favorite kits to play with. I found this ADORABLE picture of my little girl. She was soooo mad at me that day when I made her put on that dress, can ya tell LOL!!!!! She was such a little tomboy, always chasing after her big brother and his friends, much to his dismay!!! Notice the grubby little fingers and skinned knees. And only MY little sweetie would put a troll instead of a barbie in a barbie boat ROTF!!!!

And here is another cute cute pic I found of her. I just love how she posed for the camera. This was probably the VERY LAST time I WILLINGLY got her to into a dress. I looooved to dress her up in pretty little dresses with pretty little hats. I knew it wasn't going to last long so I made the most of it while I had the chance!!!!

I found an AWESOME AWESOME blog this week, Waterloo Projects. It's a group of ladies who make the absolutely coolest kits. I just love them!! Here's a layout I made using their "On the Autumn Meadow". This is my little tomboy with her big brother. He always was and still is soooo over protective of her. The last date she was on, he sat right behind her and her sweetie at the movies, swatting the guy any time he just looked like he was about to get fresh. Poor kid LOL!!!

I'm hoping no idiot drives by and throws out a lit cigarette as the brush on the other side of my 6 foot WOODEN fence looks like kindlin just waiting to be lit LOL!!! Here is a layout I made using Kim Broedelet's revamped kit, Precious Angel Memories Blue. This is my son and his sweetie all snazzed up for the prom. Aren't they a couple of cuties. That's about the only time I will get to see that boy in a tux I reckon ROTF!!

These past few months, I've been buying and snagging quite a few CU goodies here and there. I figure it's time to quit collecting and start playing ROTF!! And as promised, I'm sharing my results as I'm learning with you all here as blog freebies. For now, I'm only making mini kits, a paper and a few elements. That's why I've called them "Itty Bitty Mini's", I thought that was kinda catchy LOL!! Here's my first one for ya'll "Purple Tweet". Bedtime Stories, Love's Truest Language

I'll tell you all in advance, this post will be a bit long, but I've been MIA with school starting and then with having to evacuate for hurricane Ike. I have a lot to say LOL!!!! There's lotsa goodies tucked in here and there so read carefully as I have a special request of you further down.

I want to start off with with a shout out for this fun kit I'd found in my wanderings a while back, "Faerily Moonlit" by Studio Lori. I finally found some time to play with it. I just looove the whimsical fantasy feel of this kit. The little sleeping caps are so cute LOL. They reminded me of how my little guy loooves his stories. He's forever "tell me that story momma, that one about the dragon," or fairies and trolls, which ever he's interested in at that particular moment :-) This is another layout I did with the same kit. I felt like playing a little in my old style of photo maniplation and blending and this is what I came up with. If you love fantasy and whimsy as I do, be sure to stop by Lori's store. The following layout is another I wanted to play with a little blending on as well, this time using Kim B's newest kit "Spring Passion". A lovely lovely kit to play with. I looooved the purples pinks and yellows. A pretty kit for this pretty picture of my son's friend. Even though I'm a good ways inland, we still had to evacuate. When I got home, I found many well wishes, prayers and worries left for me. I want to thank you all sooo very much and I just want ya'll to know, they most definately WORKED!!!! Less than an hour before 100 mph winds and rain were about to hit our town, Ike did a north eastern turn and spared my little home.

I'd like to share the love and prayers you all so generously shared with me by dedicating the freebies I've made for you all today to the Texas residents who were not as lucky as I. You can CLICK HERE to download my freebie QP. Here's my little guy on the first day of kindergarten. He was trying so hard to be brave LOL!! I'm proud to say, he's doing wonderful and now looooves school YAY!!! It's soo much easier when they like school. My "graduate", he hated it until the day he graduated. He hit those double doors runnin and never looked back ROTF!!Here is another layout my little guy and I did together. We used a collab kit "Little Painted School House" by Jen at Chaos Lounge and Sassy at Designs by Sassy. When I snagged the kit, I was planning a first day of school layout but he was sitting here with me and we got no further than the Chuckee Cheese photo LOL!! He looooves going to Chuckee Cheese and had a blast picking what went into our layout. The apple in the window was his idea "for his teacher" :-)
Look at this pretty little baby face ya'll!! Isn't she adorable. Serene by RW at Busy Scrappin sent me one of her lovely new kits "Pocket Full of Posies" to play with. I love the bright bold colors and all the pretty flowers and doodles.

And while I was in a quick page making frame of mind, I pulled out one of my favorite favorite older kits by Jen at Chaos Lounge "After Midnight". This has to be one of my all time favorite kits LOL!!! I'd made a layout simular to this brag book page for one of my daughter's friends severl months ago. Since then, several of her friends have asked me to make them one as well. After about the fifth one I finally got smart (a little slow on the intake sometimes LOL) and made a this BB. I couldn't resist using my "graduates" kindergarten picture. We were laughing tonight about what a RING TAILED RIPPER he was when he was little. Our family and his teachers let him get away with murder because he was so darned cute. You can see that mischevious twinkle in his eyes!!!! Good Day Ya'll!!! I want to start this post off with WONDERFUL news. Both make such fun kits to play with. I really love the bold vivid colors of this kit and the elements and papers are just awesome to play with.

Here is a LO I did. This is my little guy on his first day at kindergarten. Doesn't he look so proud of himself ya'll LOL!!! I took some "before and after" pics to make more layouts. On the way to school, bright happy full of smiles, after school, not so bright, more red faced and sweaty, and a little less happy, more like a little pouty ROTF. It takes awhile for these little ones to adjust to a full day of school.

I am a waaaay behind on this but I wanted to share with ya'll that Chrmd and Chrming Scraps and Snowtig from Snowtigz Scrapz and Photoz have both presented me with this awesome "I love your blog" award. How cool is that. Thanks so very much ladies MWUAH!!!!!

Pretty Girls With Pretty Curls

I played with Jen's lovely new "Summer's End" kit again today. My family is going to have me busy for weeeeeks making more layouts with it LOL!!!! That's ok, I'm just happy they like them and have a special keepsake they'll always cherish :-) I pulled out some wedding pictures from Prague to play with today and made a "Pretty Girls with Pretty Curls" layout.

My dear friend Tragedy Anne has asked me to be a partner with her at her new store Keepsake Creators. YAY!! I have a store!! I don't have one single thing to sell, but by golly I have a store ROTF! Have ya'll EVER known anyone to do things as backwards as me LOL! All kidding aside, I am very proud she's asked me to join her. Tragedy Anne has given me another lovely lovely surprise today, the "Trusted Friend Award". I've been blessed to have you as my friend Kat. OOOhhh, look at this lovely new kit "Summer's End" from Jen at Chaos Lounge ya'll!!! Just beautiful!! These are my favorite favorite kind of kits to play with. A little Mother Nature meets a little fantasy and Sparkle.

Jen's new kit is perfect for those fantasy type layouts I love to do and for sunny days with pretty smiles. This big beautiful smile belong's to one of my son's friends from school. I found a whole slew of pretty pictures on his desk so I snagged them all to play with LOL. That's ok, the girls don't mind. They looove getting the pretty layouts I make with them and my son loves delivering them ROTF!!!

Climbing Trees QP Freebie

I've been wanting to play at making Quick Pages for awhile now. I've gotten such nice comments about my "Blowing Bubbles" layout that I decided to play with Jen's "Climbing Trees" kit again for my first try. I wasn't planning to share it, just play a little, but actually, I really liked the way it turned out. The "Climbing Trees" kit has been a blast to play with!!!. As I mentioned in the previous post, Leaonna over at Busy Scrappin has tagged me. Thank you for thinking of me Leaonna and the HUGE compliment of tagging and awarding me the same day!!! That was so sweet and just made my whole week MUAH!!!!

Ok ya'll, I am a TRUE Leo and we can be a self centered bunch at times (or, so I've been told anyway....yeah, whatever!! ROTF) so this is right up my alley :-)

My Random 7 Facts are:

1. I am and loooove being a back porch musician, meaning I would rather be on the back porch playing with family and friends any day than in front of a crowd of people.

2. I play fiddle and guitar, fiddle being my absolute favorite as I looove looove irish folk music. Listening too and playing along is a natural high for me LOL, just stirs something deep within my soul!!!!

3. Music is obviously my passion and my children are soooooo my magic!!! Both help keep me a strong woman and have carried me safely through the rough seas that life will toss us around in from time to time.

4. My favorite "rainy day" movie is Open Range. When Robert Duvall gives his little speech at the cafe mmm mmmm mmmm, definately my favorite part of the movie!!! My Hero LOL!!!!

5. My favorite "Star" encounter: Myself and my best friend Cindi had been light heartedly flirting with this cute guy sitting at the table next to us, just inches away, in our favorite blues bar "Antones" in Austin Texas. There had been a few winks here and there, some smiles and laughs, and a couple of fun fun hours spent jumping up and dancing amongst our tables when the music was smokin. But the part I treasure most, was the laughs and claps shared for these two elderly, and I do mean ELDERLY women, snazzed up in their Sunday best, just JAMMIN and having a blast a few tables over. It was awesome to see and these two ladies set such a "magical" tone for every one in the bar that night, they had the house rockin!!! All of a sudden the whole bar started shouting "Bruno Bruno Bruno". As I was shouting over the crowd to Cindi "Bruce Willis, Bruce Willis is here", jumping up and down trying to see him, that cute guy at the next table, stood up, walked a little ways from the table into the light, turned, winked at us then flashed this huge smile as he turned back to jump onto the stage. OMG Ya'll!! I will ALWAYS have a huge huge crush on Bruce Willis LOL!!! He is most definately a charming, fun, very nice man.

6. Least favorite "Star" encounter: Don Johnson!! Seen him at Farm Aid in Austin Texas and he had the NERVE to insult Texas Women in the very first sentence he spat out his mouth. Well, let me tell you, Karma bit him in the butt cause not long after that, while he was filming a movie at the old mill in Luling (my home town btw..wicked wicked grin), his daughter was born in AUSTIN TEXAS LOL!!! Tooooo funny ROTF!!!!

7. And lastly, a little "personal" info about myself:-). Where as my mother is "Urban Chic" I am most definately "Old Hippy". She faces her day, calmy walking out the door, accessories perfectly matched...just lovely!! Where as I on the other hand, am lucky if I remember to brush my hair and slip on sandles as I'm RUNNING out the door because I'm late again!!! She swears I was switched at birth LOL!!!!

Enchanted Gardens and My Very First Blog Game

A few posts back, I'd mentioned I've been invited to be on the Creative Team over at KJoi Studios. They are a great group of people over there and I've really enjoyed my time spent with them. There's always lotsa love left for your hard work which is really really cool and something I always enjoy and appreciate. While wandering around their shop, I found this great kit "Tender Feelings" by Sabs and snatched it right up. It's an awesome kit with so many cool goodies to play with. Perfect for the fantasy type LO's I obviously loooove to make LOL!!!! Here are a couple I made yesterday with it.

A few posts back, I also mentioned I wanted to play a "blog game" to share the magic and good Karma that my little crystal experiment has brought to me (see my July posts of "Fairy of Sparkle Dusting", "Fairy of Just Peachy Keen" and "Lucky Charms").

We'll, I don't know much about blog games so it's been a booger figuring out what I was gonna do but I think I've finally come up with something PERFECT for my first game. As this idea of mine is all about sharing the love and good Karma my little crystals have brought me, for my first game, I've decided to put the names of all ya'll that have left love on my blog in a hat. Then my little guy will pull out a name and that will be the winner.

If that person does not wish to participate, then we'll keep pulling out names until we find one that does. You will have to be willing to give some kind of address for me to mail it to you so I understand not everyone will wish to do this. I've decided since my birthday is so close and I looove looove looove to share the love, we will draw our first name then, August 14. (Besides, this just might keep my mind off the fact I am turning 45 LOL!!!!!) So if you stumble in here between now and then, it's not to late to get your name in that hat. Good Day Ya'll, I got great news the other day. Jen over at Chaos Lounge asked me if I would like to be a guest Creator for her this month and I of course said YES YES YES!!! I just looove her kits and I was most definately not disappointed with her newest kit "Climbing Trees". I loooove the doodle tree and accents and the kids of course looove looove looved the cute little critters!! Here are two layouts I made with this kit. There are many many goodies to play with and so many different things you can do with this kit if you let your imagination run wild. I just wanted to share a couple layouts with ya'll. For these I used Dawn's "Spellbound" by Dawn Inskip Designs over at K-Joi Studios. What a fun kit to play with, especially if you are big Harry Potter fans like we are.

The sparkles are an overlay I made to use for these layouts AND I've decided to share as my first freebie. YAY!! I've been promising ya'll freebies as we learn to make scrapping goodies so I've decided these will be my first to share. I'll have a few overlays and matching background papers you can use with them if you'd like. Well ya'll, let me tell you, with tropical storm "Dolly" brewing out my back door and these long hot sticky days getting ready for her, I was REALLY feelin like my crystals had lost their charms rather quickly ROTF!!! But they hadn't. Lookee here ya'll!!!! I recieved an award!!! How cool is that. And it even has a crystal prysm on it. Now that's just too awesome!!

Andrea at The Dickensons really enjoyed our layouts and gave us the award. Thanks soooo very much for the smiles you brought this tired hot little family Andrea. The kids were really excited!! It's their award as well you know. They are always tugging at my skirt as I'm making the layouts, so they have A LOT of input as to what goes into them LOL.

Fairy of "Just Peachy Keen"

Hi Ya'll!!! Remember last post, I mentioned hanging my crystals back in my windows, just to see what would happen. Well, I did, and let me tell you, everything is just "peachy keen" in my little neck of the woods now ;-) First, as I was hanging them, I could of sworn I seen a glimpse of a smile. Unfortunately, it was gone before I could grab the camera ROTF!!! Then, I went and checked my mail, and I had the best surprise waiting there for me. Kim at Kim B's Designs had shared a goody with me. Her newest kit, Softly Sweet, which, I had been secretly wanting!!!! Now how cool was that! Thank YOUUUUU Kim!!!!!! It's a fun kit to play with and goes well with the "I Believe" kits, perfect for our little project.

If you notice, the last couple of posts have been titled "Fairy Of" something or another. Well, my daughter and I have decided we are going to do a "Fairy Of" series with all these awesome kits I've been collecting and our old photos. Just something fun for her and I to do this summer.

Fairy of "Sparkle Dusting"

I strolled over to Kim B's blog Saturday to take a leisurely scroll and got no further than the first post!!!! My kit was on sale and I was out the door shopping ROTF!!! This layout was done with Kim B's and Bunny Cates "I Believe" kit for girls. My "I Believe" set is finally complete LOL!!!

My daughter and I picked out and scanned some old photo's of her to play with. They are going to be sooo much fun this kit. Today, we decided to do the "fairy of sparkle dusting". When she was a little girl, she loooved to shake the feather duster and dance with the "dust fairies" she'd made dancing in the colored rays of sunshine peeking through the lace curtians and crystal prysms I always had hanging in the windows.

Hhhhmmm.........I miss that whimsical happy child sometimes. If your a mom of a teenage girl, you know what I mean ROTF. I wonder what would happen if I were to hang those prysms BACK in my windows. I think I just might do that in the morning come to think of it. That's a very nice Monday morning project, and great way to start a brand new week ;-) You all have a grand brand new week too ya'll!!!

My little guy and I had a blast playing with the "Backyard Playground" collaboration kit again today. Let me say once again what a fun fun kit for moms with little boys. My son sat in a chair next to me and as I opened all the different designers folders, he picked out the little "friends" he wanted to put on his layout. He picked so many, we decided we better make two homes for them!!!! These are what we came up with. I think we did a pretty good job for our first mommy and son collaboration ;-)

Fireflies at Midnight

I got really lucky this week while wandering blogs. I stumbled into Lighthouse Designs by Beth and found this huge WONDERFUL collaboration kit "Backyard Playground". What a cool kit for moms with little guys. All the Blogs I've visited so far are just full of goodies for this kit. You could play and play with this thing forever in so many ways!!!!

I'm only halfway through the links but had to stop and play after I strolled into Leaonna's blog and found firefies :) Her kit reminded me of all the times I'd wake my kids up in the middle of the night to drag them outside so they wouldn't miss what ever show "Mother Nature" was so kindly sharing...be it meteor showers, cloud dancing, or even the rare snowflake here in Texas. For tonight, we have "Fireflies at Midnight".
